Teaching Policy

The course uses a combination of in-class exercises and design assignments primarily worked on outside of class. The in-class exercises give students a chance to put into practice the concepts and vocabulary covered in class, while the assignments provide a more in-depth exploration of the course material and the iterative game design process.

Make-up policy for exams: To make up for a missed exam, the student must provide a satisfactory reason (as determined by the instructor) along with proper documentation. Make-ups are only allowed under extraordinary circumstances.

Late Assignments:

Assignments submitted after the stated deadline are considered late and will not be accepted unless the student provides both:

  • a satisfactory reason for the late submission (as determined by the instructor), and
  • appropriate supporting documentation (e.g., medical note, university-approved excuse, or equivalent verifiable evidence).

Late work without both a valid reason and proper documentation will receive a grade of zero. Students are strongly encouraged to communicate with the instructor as early as possible in the event of extenuating circumstances.

Attendance List will be regularly held by student signature and at most 30% absence is permitted; otherwise, an "NA" grade will be given no matter what points during this semester the student will have been obtained.
